About
I was born in Chicago Illinois, to a poor Mexican family. Despite having two active older brothers, I was very shy as a child. It wasn’t until I started writing and won a young authors award that I started to find my artistic side. This was likely due to my interest in comic books, anime, and video games. Even today those interests still continue and I pay attention to the story more then anything else.
My writings continued through my first few years of high school, even joining the yearbook club and magazine club. Eventually my interests moved to digital arts thanks to the help of a great teacher. By the time I graduated high school I had experience in story boarding, stop motion, video editing, graphic design, and illustration.
I also had over a hundred hours of community service under my belt, including blood donation, creating books for kids in Africa, and cleaning parks and forests. My skills and experience continued to grow in and past college. There I learned photography, book making, wood and metal craft, pictogramas, abecedarians, and color strategies. These skills helped me create work, both digital and hand crafted, that was displayed in art shows.
